Week of June 12

I came alive this week I shot and edit a music video for Hood politics in about a day and signed up for the screen team for extra credit. The hood politics music. Idea is my favorite project ever and I'm proud of it I'm just hoping Everything works out ok. I also rushed all my post on today June 22 in a desperate attempt to earn a B in the class so that my conditional admissions isn't removed please Mister Help me out !! 

Week of June 5

So my deal to join up with another production company didn't go through. This week was spent mostly watching finished movies that I come out in and doing nothing all period. 

Week of May 29

So at this point I'm not really sure what I'm going to do I've been slipping way to much. I have only one film done and no way to get another but I have made a deal to join Jennifer Javier Erick and Chris for their final film and Landsdown said there will be opportunity for extra credit to raise my grade.

Week of May 22

Week 3 with out a production company. I haven't gotten much done in class  I haven't done any of the blogs and I'm barely doing my chores. We've been getting a lot of buzz about possibly in having an evening film festival.

Week of May 15

Yet another week has gone by and I am still Production Company-less. This week was very much like last week watching people edit and coming out in different films. I stay doing my chores.

Week of May 8

So this week I just bounced around the classroom watching Diana and Karelia edit their films and helping out Jennifer's production company guest starring in films. Friday I also didn't chore cleaning up around the class. I really need to get to work on a Film.

Week of May 1

I've left my previous production company. We had a falling out Martin chose to remain with the girls and are moving forward with the sports related film. On the other hand I am left with out a company and only one film turned in, I'm screwed.

Week of April 24

From our previous film Martin and I decided that we couldn't keep going at it alone so I negotiated a merger with STAR productions. Our next film will be a music video with scenes from the various sports teams at bell and add some inspirational quotes. We are waiting for the girls to wrap up their first film.

Week of April 17

We have finished our film!! Martin took over as chief editor and really did a lot of the work on this he ran a couple scenes and effect by me but other than that he had. Complete creative control . The final product is what I was expecting and so we finally have a film to turn in.

Week of April 10

So we had a good week of filming we actually filmed most of the shots we wanted and it's coming out ok. The film in itself is fast and to me a bit dull I'm not really feeling it anymore. We still need the beginning of our movie and plan to film it after school other than that we are on track to finish with in deadlines.

Week of April 3

This week in Film my partner Martin I decided to work on a PSA about bullying and have divided up all the work right down the middle. I started working on my part of the story board and we have a couple good ideas for some shots. The two man production company is doing good

Week of March 27

This week in film class I began my two man production company with my good friend Martin Macias because we were absent and got left out from the other groups. We are in talks about starting off with a PSA and have a couple ideas going around. This is the first time we are making a film from scratch with no outside help this semester. 

What Music Means To Me.

I love listening to music it is the greatest life enhancer to have ever existed. You may be wondering life enhancer? the heck is this kid talking about, well ill tell you music makes everything better it enhances any experience you have. Across the world millions of people walk with some sort of music listening device in their ear or humming one of their favorite songs. Personally i am a huge rap fan although i do listen to a couple of bands and other genres of music. My favorite artist include Eminem, Tupac, Nas   J-cole, Kendrick , DR.Dre and Chance the Rapper. I love rappers who are funny and have lyrics that you have to think about to understand the joke and that know how to hype themselves up they make you feel like they are the greatest people on the planet. I also enjoy rappers who have strong meanings and messages in their songs. Eminem is a combination of everything i like in a rapper he is witty and fast paced but has music that just reaches to your soul and makes you understand the hardships from his life and even inspires people in similar situations to rise above everything. Kendrick is also this way like Eminem he has a funny side but he also has music that lets you know how he built himself to the top and overcoming adversity. The stories most of all is what call my attention to music and rap specifically.  To quote one of my favorite name songs " I aint here to save the fucking children but if one kid out of a hundred million who are going through a struggle feels and then relates, thats great."

Problems and struggles

Bell high students are often at a disadvantage in terms of academics. One major struggle students go to is that we are very limited in the amount of classes we can take as opposed to kids that go to school in say the east coast. When students from bell go into the big competitive colleges and universities the first thing they notice is how far out of their league those kids are. Honestly other children grew up in an environment in which they had a lot more preparation due to them living in rather wealthy area that don't have the limited resources bell has. The lack of resources then makes life in college a bigger adjustment therefore making it more difficult for Bell students to want to continue at the school. I feel that since Bell is very heavily populated this also presents the issue of diversity. Bell students don't know what other people are like and other customs and beliefs and this is a problem because it greatly diminishes their understanding of the world.

The Most Interesting Person in the World

To me my most interesting friend is a girl. Its funny that a guy would get along so well with a girl rather than another guy but a girl brings a refreshing change of perspective to any conversation. My friend and  I connect on such a raw level that we can carry out a conversation on any given subject and talk about it for hours on end. She challenges me and questions me constantly forcing the conversation to spirals from one extreme to another. I have learned that with this friend there are no limits we can tell each other anything and make jokes at each others expense and yet the relationship remains the same. Being interesting isn't about having crazy wild stories or anything for that matter, people who are interesting to us are usually people that understand us and people with whom we can discuss the world. To me this friend is the most interesting person simply because she gets me and i get her on a level so primal its interesting to even try to describe, the essence of our friendship is interesting.

My Anti-Drug

There are several things that i enjoy to do to keep busy and too relief stress. Above anything i would say my anti-drug is playing soccer. Once i step out onto the pitch everything else looses value to me, my number one focus becomes playing. During vacations there were days that i would go play from the moment i woke up to like 8 in the afternoon and only because i needed to go eat and actually be at my house to like bathe and sleep. Soccer is a great stress reliever its physical and mentally stimulating and i can honestly say that it has helped keep me away from doing some pretty stupid things in life.

An Inconvenient truth

The amount of data presented by Al gore has drastically changed my perspective on the issue of pollution. The images that mostly got to me were the ones that showed all the negative effects of the melting ice in the poles and in places like Greenland. The clip of the polar bear who was swimming and drowned was devastating, Human beings have to understand that we do not own the earth nor do we live on it alone. We are killing the earth not only for ourselves but for the millions of other living organisms on the planet. I don't see how an animal who has so little to do with humans should have to suffer the consequences for our actions, when said actions are so easily avoidable. Mr. Gore has made the very clear that its still not too late and we can put up a united front and fight this disease that is ravishing the small speck of the universe which we call home.
